Sustainability Market Briefing

Presentation of the Sustainability Report 2025

15 October 2026 - 14:00 CET

We are pleased to present our Sustainability Report 2025, prepared in accordance with the EU Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard (VSME), and provide an update on the Bank's sustainability journey and ESG performance.

Members of our Management team will conduct the Market Briefing by highlighting our progress, key achievements and sustainability priorities, followed by an interactive Q&A session.

The world faces pressing sustainability challenges, from climate change and environmental degradation to social inequality and economic disparities. Addressing these issues requires a collective effort from all sectors of society, including the financial industry. At APS Bank, we aim to contribute to Malta’s sustainable economic development.

As a community and sustainability-focused bank, we are embedding environmental and social considerations into our policies and financing frameworks. Our goal is to protect the interest of the community and support individuals and businesses on their journey towards a greener and more equitable future.

Matthew Swain, Head of Sustainability, APS Bank

We are working to embed sustainability into how we do business, using better insight into our impacts, risks and opportunities to support informed decisions, customer needs and long-term value.

Sustainability approach

Our focus is to make sustainability an integral part of how we do business. This means offering sustainable finance solutions, integrating environmental and social considerations into our risk management approach, conducting business responsibly, investing in our people, reporting transparently, and supporting the communities we serve.

As part of our sustainability strategy, we have made three major commitments that shape our actions and our long-term vision.

Facilitate a quarter of a billion of sustainable finance by 2030

ESG target

Role in society

Our CSR programme & sponsorships

We believe that giving back to the community is more than a responsibility - it is part of who we are. We actively support a wide range of community initiatives and projects. Our approach is grounded in forming partnerships that are just, sustainable, and mutually beneficial. We prioritise working with umbrella organisations to amplify our collective impact, rather than supporting isolated efforts.

Malta Sustainability Forum

Through the Malta Sustainability Forum, we are proud to raise awareness on sustainability topics and inspire action. Our goal is to help people make informed, sustainable choices for a better future.

Our network

We support market-driven sustainability by collaborating with organisations that share similar goals to amplify impact and share knowledge.

At the local level, we are an active member of the Malta ESG Alliance (MESGA), a platform for Maltese businesses to work together toward national ESG goals and lead by example in sustainable practices.

At the European level, we are part of the European Federation of Ethical and Alternative Banks and Financiers (FEBEA) and the Sustainable Banking Collaboration, joining forces with financial institutions from over 15 countries. We exchange insights and best practices to advance ethical and social finance across Europe.
