Members of APS Bank’s management team have been actively sharing their expertise at significant local events, covering a range of important topics such as economic outlook, credit risk management, financial literacy, AI-powered networking, and supporting entrepreneurship for people with disabilities. Here are some highlights from their speaking engagements in April 2025:
Giovanni Bartolotta, Chief Risk Officer, and Gevit Duca, Senior Credit Risk Manager, took part in the 2025 Annual Credit Conference organised by the Malta Association of Credit Management. Giovanni delivered a keynote address on Malta’s Economic Outlook at the start of the conference, while Gevit joined a panel discussion on Mitigating Credit Risk to Ensure Strong Cash Flow.
Scott Lee Holloway, Head of Customer Experience, gave a lecture at the University of Malta on Spending Habits, as part of a wider financial literacy course run by Dr Robert M. Suban and supported by the Malta Bankers’ Association.
Stefan Briffa, Senior IT Security and Networks Management Manager, participated in the HPE Innovation Day, organised by Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Stefan co-delivered a session with Thomas Peuthert, Channel Director for Central Europe, on the topic of Security First, AI-Powered Networking.
Lara Ann Camilleri, Administration Commercial Manager, and Waylen Sammut, Products Manager, contributed to the Entrepreneurship Training Programme for People with Disabilities. This initiative was organised by the Foundation for the Promotion of Entrepreneurial Initiatives (FPEI) in partnership with the University of Malta. Lara and Waylen presented the Bank’s products and services available to entrepreneurs, highlighting dedicated relationship manager support, APS commercial banking products, including the myAPS app, and the Bank’s MDB SGS Business Loan aimed at SMEs. The presentation also covered the process for becoming an APS business customer and additional support for clients with disabilities, using a universal design framework.
