APS Bank has received the award from Richmond Foundation – Malta, following its continued investment in Mental Health First Aid training for employees across the organisation. The Mental Health First Aid Skilled Workplace Silver Award recognises organisations taking practical steps to build mental health awareness and support in the workplace.
The two-day programme equips participants to recognise early signs of mental health challenges and provide initial support, leading to accredited certification following an assessment. Beyond training, the Bank also works with Richmond Foundation to provide employees with access to an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), offering confidential professional support when needed.
APS Bank Career Development Manager Janice Ellul commented: “Sometimes, simply noticing that a colleague may be struggling can make a difference. We want our people to feel able to look out for one another, while knowing that professional support is there when they need it.”
