APS Bank hosted the 11th session in its APS Business Talks series, titled The real value of Business Ethics, delivered by Dunstan Magro, Managing Director at WDM International Ltd. The session explored business ethics as a practical decision-making process that goes beyond legal compliance, encouraging business leaders to consider competing interests and reach reasoned decisions when faced with complex situations.
Mr Magro discussed how ethical dilemmas are often shaped by context and can lead to unintended consequences. He explained how ethical practices can be viewed as an investment rather than a cost, helping organisations strengthen trust, reputation and long-term value. The session also highlighted the importance of adapting ethical principles to organisations of different sizes and embedding them throughout the business to support transparency, integrity and responsible corporate citizenship.
Commenting on the session, APS Bank CSR Manager Jeremy Vassallo said, “Through APS Business Talks, we continue to provide a platform for discussions that are relevant to businesses today. Business ethics plays an important role in strengthening professional judgement, trust and responsible decision-making.”
