Next MSF announced – Bridging the Pension Gap

On Wednesday 16 November 2022, the Malta Sustainability Forum (MSF), will hold its third event of the year, in the form of an in-person conference at the Dolmen Hotel. During this event, ‘Bridging the Pension Gap’, speakers will focus on pension sustainability and what steps one can take to enjoy a good standard of living during retirement. The Forum will look into the key findings from the first Pension Engagement Survey commissioned by APS Bank, which will be examined during a panel discussion with various local social partners. Local and foreign experts will share insights on successfully implemented pension frameworks, which have bridged the pension gap abroad and could be viable for Malta.

Liana DeBattista, Chief Strategy Officer at APS Bank, commented, “A key theme from the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals is to ‘Leave no one behind’, and pension adequacy is pivotal in maintaining a dignified standard of living later in life.

MSF was launched in 2019, with the objective of raising awareness on the topic of sustainability, with the aim of empowering citizens to make conscious decisions towards a more sustainable life. Sustainability lies at the heart of APS Bank’s values, underpins the Bank’s business strategy and is a core pillar of its Corporate Social Responsibility Programme.
