In March 2026, APS Bank CEO Marcel Cassar participated in a panel discussion titled ‘Financing the Green Transition,’ held at Xara Lodge, Rabat. The event brought together key stakeholders from Malta’s financial and regulatory sectors to discuss the challenges and opportunities linked to sustainable finance and the transition towards a greener economy.
Moderated by Dr Jonathan Spiteri, the panel featured representatives from the Malta Development Bank, the Malta Financial Services Authority, the Central Bank of Malta, the European Investment Bank and Bank of Valletta. Discussions focused on the evolving role of financial institutions in supporting sustainable investment, enabling responsible growth, and addressing environmental priorities through collaboration and innovation.
