APS Bank welcomed secondary school students from across Malta for a series of financial literacy workshops held as part of European Money Week, in collaboration with the Malta Bankers’ Association and the Ministry for Education. The sessions formed part of the ‘Be Wise, Pay Smart’ initiative, aimed at helping students better understand everyday financial decisions.

The workshops focused on different payment methods and raised awareness around staying safe when carrying out transactions. Through practical guidance and real-life examples, students were introduced to key concepts in a clear and engaging manner. Each session also included a live demonstration of self-service banking machines, offering hands-on exposure to commonly used banking tools.

Commenting on the initiative, APS Bank Head of Customer Experience Scott Lee Holloway, said: “Building financial literacy from a young age is key to helping individuals navigate everyday financial decisions with confidence. Through initiatives like these, we aim to make financial concepts more accessible and encourage responsible habits that stay with them into adulthood.”
