APS Bank officials at international events

Aside from regular appearances on the local conference circuit, APS Bank senior officials are being increasingly invited to participate as speakers and panellists at overseas events, underscoring their expertise and outstanding reputation even outside our shores.

Ronald Mizzi, Chief Financial Officer, Council Member of the Malta Institute of Accountants (MIA) represented the Institute at the 3rd Mediterranean Finance Summit, organised by the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants (ICPAC), in Cyprus. He addressed the topic of sustainable finance and how finance leaders can drive sustainable business practices.

Cynthia Borg, Head of Financial Crime Compliance & MLRO, represented the Malta Bankers’ Association in her capacity as Deputy Chair of the Financial and Cyber Crime & Fraud Standing Committee at the European Banking Federation AML & Financial Crime Expert Group, in Brussels. She was also a judge during the International Compliance Association (ICA) Awards and participated in the ICA Future of FinCrime and Compliance, in London, where she facilitated a round table discussion on the Compliance Culture.

Scott Lee Holloway, Voice of the Customer Manager, was active at a number of international Customer Experience (CX) activities. He participated for the third time, in the London Virtual International Customer Experience Management (ICEM) Summit, where he delivered a keynote on Elevating Customer Experience in a Competitive Landscape and joined a panel discussion. He also took part in the Firestarter24: Customer and Employee Experience International Conference, in North Macedonia, presenting the importance of bringing colleagues along on an organisation’s CX journey. At the 23rd Annual Complaints Management Forum, in London, Scott discussed the importance of providing clear communication both on complaint responses and within the organisation. Earlier this year, he also authored a chapter in the bestselling, practitioner publication ‘Customer Experience 5’, now available on Amazon.
