Supporting Theatre Anon Arts Foundation by co-financing a rehearsal/performance space (The Space). This space is benefitting a collective of established ensemble theatre companies: Theatre Anon, Dù Theatre, and WhatsTheirNames Theatre. These companies are mentoring young performers to encourage ongoing training in the arts, aiming for a more sustainable operating model through collaboration.
 
This is a production by Dù Theatre (founded in 2004 to create new and exciting works. For the past years, the company has brought a fresh wave of ideas to Malta’s stages.)

Ħobżna ta’ Kuljum is a new original play set against the backdrop of Malta’s 1977 bread strike, written & directed by Simone Spiteri. Through the story of a family navigating hardship and change, it explores survival, womanhood, memory, and social transformation. Blending fiction with oral history, the play offers an intimate portrait of lives shaped by extraordinary times. A moving reflection on what we inherit, what we endure, and what remains.
 
The play is in Maltese with English surtitles on Saturday 19 September and Sunday 27 September. Age: 13+
