As part of APS Bank’s commitment to continuously support culture and the arts, the Bank is once again teaming up with the Mdina Biennale for the next edition of the APS Mdina Cathedral Contemporary Art Biennale. The launch was introduced by APS Bank Chairman, Mr Frederick Mifsud Bonnici who was followed by Mons. Rev. Edgar Vella, President of the Mdina Cathedral Museum. Prof. Giuseppe Schembri Bonaci, Artistic Director of the Mdina Biennale, gave a short introduction about the collaborative effort between the three entities and offered a glimpse into the theme and the forms of art which will be exhibited.

Mr Mifsud Bonnici stated that APS Bank is proud to be associated with this very prestigious art expo, which will open on 13 March 2020 for the duration of one month.

The theme, ‘Regaining a paradise lost – the role of the Arts’, will deal with the relationship between spirituality and the environment, focusing on the links with the protection of the planet, all species, human or other, and the notion of spirituality within this seminal debate.

The launch was attended by senior APS Bank executives, members of the Diplomatic corps, the media and staff from the Mdina Cathedral Museum and the Biennale team.
