Over 500 rare Maltese pictures published in seminal photography book
More than 500 rare photographs obtained from private Maltese collectors have been published in a book referred to by historian Dr Giovanni Bonello as "the definitive historical textbook of photography in Malta".
Titled Photography in Malta, it is the work of seasoned Maltese photographer Kevin Casha and sponsored by APS Bank. The publication was launched on Tuesday, November 10.
The 400 page, hard-bound book charts the course of photography in Malta, documenting a timeline that spans from the 1830's up to the contemporary era.
Speaking during the launch, APS Bank Chairman, E. P. Delia, said the value of the book lies not only in its academic content but also in the human narrative with which Casha has managed to record the many valid pioneers of Maltese photography.
Casha thanked APS Bank as well as his many friends, researchers and colleagues who helped in the compilation of information, for their continued support.
Copies of the book may be purchased by contacting Casha directly via his website http://kevincasha.com/ or via email on firstname.lastname@example.org.
