Throughout the month of October APS Bank lit up the façade of its Head Office in pink, as a sign of support and solidarity to all those affected by breast cancer. The Bank’s Social Activities Committee distributed pink ribbon pins to all staff members as a reminder of the significance of the month and staff were encouraged to wear a touch of pink during casual Friday at the end of the month.
As in previous years a donation was made to Europa Donna Malta from staff contributions. Europa Donna is a non-profit organisation represented throughout Europe working to improve breast cancer services by promoting early detection, raising awareness, optimal treatment, research and providing support to all people affected.
Peter Gatt, Employer Branding Manager, commented that, “Raising awareness and detecting cancer at its early stages can save lives – the colour pink is a strong symbol of the global support to breast cancer awareness and the fight to find a cure.”
