Two local theatre productions, Min Jidħak l-Aħħar and Ħobżna ta’ Kuljum, take to the stage this September 2026, both with the support of APS Bank.
Opening on Friday 18 September 2026 at Theatre Next Door, Min Jidħak l-Aħħar follows Renata, Iris and Helena, three women brought together by serious illness and faced with the reality that their time is running out. Written by André Mangion, directed by Chiara Hyzler and produced by Nikolai Azzopardi Productions, the play explores how they each confront mortality, and the tension, friendship, love and humour that emerge along the way. Tickets and more information are available here.
Also running this September is Dù Theatre’s Ħobżna ta’ Kuljum, written and directed by Simone Spiteri. Set against Malta’s 1977 bread strike, the play tells the story of a family navigating hardship and change, exploring survival, womanhood, memory and social transformation. The production will run at Valletta Campus Theatre from Friday 18 to Sunday 27 September 2026, with English surtitles on Saturday 19, Thursday 24 and Sunday 27 September. Tickets and more information are available here.
Jeremy Vassallo, APS Manager at APS Bank, commented: “There’s something truly special about seeing an original story come to life on stage. We’re happy to support the teams behind these two productions and the work that goes into bringing local theatre to audiences.”
