APS Bank supported the ALIVE2026 Cycling Challenge for Cancer Research, which saw cyclists cover 1,100km over six days in July 2026. Starting in Slovakia, the route took the team through Hungary, Croatia and Slovenia, before concluding in Austria. Ahead of their departure, members of the ALIVE Foundation team visited APS Bank’s premises, where they met colleagues from the CSR team.
The challenge tested the team with an intense heatwave during the first three days, followed by rain and strong winds later in the journey. Despite difficult conditions and injuries sustained along the way, the team remained united and completed the challenge together. Since its inception in 2012, ALIVE Foundation has organised 11 cycling challenges and donated €1.1 million towards cancer research projects.
Commenting on the initiative, Jeremy Vassallo, CSR Manager at APS Bank, said, “We are proud to support ALIVE Foundation and impressed by the determination shown by everyone taking part in this year’s challenge. Their commitment to raising funds for cancer research is truly commendable, and we congratulate the entire team on completing this demanding journey.”
