APS Bank was represented by Sustainability Manager Pinar Bahar Yucel at WISTA Malta’s Summer Party, an event that brought together professionals from across Malta’s maritime industry. The gathering provided an opportunity to strengthen professional connections and exchange perspectives on the importance of diversity, inclusion and collaboration across the sector.
The Bank’s engagement with WISTA Malta forms part of its wider commitment to supporting dialogue on inclusive and sustainable development. Earlier this year, APS Bank also invited representatives of WISTA Malta to participate in the second Malta Sustainability Forum 2026, which focused on Women in the Blue Economy and highlighted the role of women in advancing a more inclusive and resilient maritime sector. The full episode is available to watch on YouTube or listen to on Spotify.
The WISTA Malta event featured contributions from WISTA International Executive Committee Member Nazli Selek and WISTA Malta President Capt. Alexia Fenech, who highlighted the role of professional networks in supporting greater representation, leadership development and collaboration within the maritime industry.
Commenting on the Bank’s participation, Ms Yucel said: “At APS Bank, sustainability extends beyond environmental considerations to include supporting inclusive and resilient communities. Engaging with organisations such as WISTA Malta provides valuable opportunities to encourage collaboration, strengthen professional networks and contribute to conversations that support the continued development of Malta’s maritime sector.”
