APS Bank is supporting the Mental Health First Aid for Artists programme organised by Richmond Foundation, offered free of charge to participants and aimed at strengthening mental health awareness within the creative community. Launched in February 2026, the first course reached full capacity within days, followed by a second course which also reached full capacity in under a week.
The Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) course equips artists and creative practitioners with practical skills to recognise signs of mental health difficulties, provide initial support, and guide individuals towards professional help. Fully financed by APS Bank, the programme reflects the realities of creative work, where emotional intensity, performance pressure, and uncertainty can impact well-being.
APS Bank CSR Manager Jeremy Vassallo said: “We are committed to supporting initiatives that promote well-being within our communities. This programme recognises the challenges faced by artists and provides practical tools to support mental health in the sector.”
