APS Bank supported the LACES Project, a collaborative initiative led by the University of Malta, bringing together students, academics, artists and the local community to explore environmental and social challenges in Msida.

Held on Thursday 27 March 2026, the project forms part of the work of the Lab for Art, Community, Ecology and Science (LACES) in collaboration with the University Library. Through participatory research, workshops and creative practices, participants engaged with local stakeholders to address themes including pollution, urban development and ecological sustainability. The initiative culminated in a large-scale mixed-media installation within the University Library, reflecting both the research process and community perspectives.

Commenting on the initiative, APS Bank CSR Manager Jeremy Vassallo said: “Projects like LACES reflect the importance of collaboration in addressing community and environmental challenges. By supporting initiatives that bring together education, creativity and research, we contribute to raising awareness and encouraging more sustainable and inclusive communities.”
