APS Bank’s Senior Management Offsite 2025 was held between 12 and 14 October 2025 at the Kempinski Hotel San Lawrenz, Gozo, with C-suite, Heads and other senior staff exploring the theme “Embracing an AI-Powered Bank.”
The three-day programme delved into how artificial intelligence is reshaping the banking landscape – from enhancing customer experience and detecting fraud in real time, to automating processes and driving smarter, data-informed decisions. Leading industry and subject-matter experts were brought over to offer their insights into AI strategy, data governance, business transformation and leadership in an evolving digital environment.
A highlight of the Offsite was a “Shark Tank” session, where teams pitched AI-driven use cases to a panel of senior executives, showcasing creativity and collaboration in applying AI to real business challenges.
Commenting, CEO Marcel Cassar said: “AI is accelerating the transformation in banking, reshaping how we work, how we make decisions, how we serve our customers. But the future of banking is not just digital, it will need to remain inclusive and human-centred. And I would add that it also needs to be intelligent. AI is the powerful tool that helps us work smarter, serve better – it’s like giving our bank a brain that can think, learn, and improve every day. This Offsite reinforced how APS Bank will harness AI across every area of our business as we craft the 2026–2028 Business Plan and prepare for the future with confidence.”
