APS Bank and the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) recently signed a new, three-year collaboration agreement at the Bank’s Head Office. This renewed partnership followed on from the previous three-year agreement, through which APS Bank supported several MPO initiatives. By extending this collaboration, the Bank continued to strengthen its commitment to Malta’s cultural heritage and to the promotion of the arts.
Prof Odette Vassallo, Chair, MPO Board, commented: “The MPO expresses its sincere gratitude to APS Bank for their generous sponsorship, which contributes significantly to the promotion and appreciation of music. This partnership extends beyond the longstanding annual APS Concert; it is an investment in Malta’s cultural heritage. Together, we can bring symphonic repertoire and diverse musical genres to the local community while also nurturing the next generation of musicians through the Malta Youth Orchestra.
We are truly grateful to APS Bank for celebrating the power of music, which unites people and strengthens our cultural identity.”
Marcel Cassar, CEO at APS Bank, said: ” We are pleased to renew our support for the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra. Over the years, MPO has grown in musicianship, performance and repertoire, blending tradition with innovation and giving prominence to works by Maltese composers. This growth, together with its rising international reputation, strengthens Malta’s cultural profile on the global stage. We are also proud to support MPO’s commitment to nurturing young talent, particularly through the Malta Youth Orchestra.”
