APS Bank supported the 18th edition of Gaulitana: A Festival of Music, held in Gozo from 5 April to 4 May 2025. Organised by the Gaulitanus Choir, the month-long festival offered a varied programme of musical performances and educational activities, promoting creativity and cultural engagement.
The festival featured orchestral concerts, opera, vocal and chamber performances, and a concluding OPERA+ Weekend. This included a full-scale production of Verdi’s Nabucco and a pre-opera talk. International and local artists took part, with events held across different locations in Gozo. Except for the opera, all events were free to attend.
An educational programme, GauLearn, ran alongside the main festival. It included school presentations, student-accessible public events, and #opera4me – a project introducing opera to young audiences through adapted performances and discounted tickets. Masterclasses will also be held during summer.
Jeremy Vassallo, CSR Manager at APS Bank, said: “Supporting Gaulitana reflects our belief in the power of the arts to connect communities and inspire future generations. The festival brings culture to people of all ages, while offering real learning experiences. We’re incredibly proud to be part of that.” The festival is known for building international ties, often leading to further cultural exchanges beyond Malta, including overseas performances by the Gaulitanus Choir.
APS Bank remains committed to initiatives that enhance Malta’s cultural landscape and provide wider access to artistic experiences.
