David Galea Souchet

Mr David Galea Souchet was appointed as Director of APS Funds on 5 May 2022.

With over 32 years of professional experience, he brings a robust background in corporate governance, risk management, regulatory compliance, accounting, financial reporting, audit and risk assessment, corporate strategy, and operations. Mr Galea Souchet began his career in 1992 with PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he spent 12 years specializing in business assurance. Following this, he served as Group Financial Controller for a diversified group of companies and, from 2004 to 2008, as Chief Officer for Corporate Services at Malta Enterprise Corporation. Between 2010 and 2018, Mr Galea Souchet was the co-owner and Chief Operating Officer of Cordium Malta, a firm offering corporate governance and regulatory compliance support to the investment services and funds industry. During this time, he also held key roles, including Compliance Officer, Risk Monitoring Officer, and Money Laundering Reporting Officer for various regulated funds and investment firms.

A Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a Chartered Director, Mr Galea Souchet has served as an independent director on the boards of several regulated firms since 2010, contributing his expertise to the financial services sector.
