The third event of the Malta Sustainability Forum (MSF) 2025, launched on 13 October 2025, focuses on “Food Security: Feeding today, protecting tomorrow.” The session examines global and local challenges impacting food systems, including affordability, sustainability, the rising cost of living, and Malta’s dependence on imports.
Speakers explore how supporting local farmers, reducing food waste, and adopting innovative solutions can strengthen Malta’s food security. The discussion also highlights practical steps individuals can take to make more mindful and sustainable choices in their daily lives.
Rachael Blackburn, Head of Culture commented: “Food security is about ensuring that everyone has access to nutritious food today while safeguarding our resources for tomorrow. Through the Forum, we aim to raise awareness and inspire collective action towards a more resilient and sustainable Malta.”
MSF continues to serve as a platform for dialogue, bringing together experts and the public to explore pressing sustainability themes.
