The second Malta Sustainability Forum (MSF) episode this year, organised by APS Bank, was released under the theme Waste: A Shared Responsibility. This edition explores the changing landscape of waste management in Malta, highlighting the role of both individuals and organisations.
The session looks at the progress made by households in adopting more sustainable habits, while also discussing how businesses are facing waste-related challenges. Speakers explore what is working, what still needs to be done, and how we can work together to reduce waste and protect the environment.
Liana DeBattista, Chief Strategy Officer at APS Bank, commented, “Waste is a growing challenge, but it’s also a shared opportunity. Whether at home, at work, or in policy, each of us has a role to play in building smarter systems and better habits. Real change happens when we move beyond talk and act together. The solutions are within reach, and they start with the choices we make today.”
MSF was launched in 2019 with the objective of raising awareness about sustainability, empowering citizens to make conscious decisions towards a more sustainable life. Sustainability lies at the heart of APS Bank’s mission, underpinning its business strategy and forming a core pillar of its Corporate Social Responsibility Programme.
