APS Bank is once again showing its support for important social causes by lighting up its head offices in blue between 28 and 30 July. This forms part of the Blue Heart Campaign 2025, which aims to raise awareness about human trafficking.
The initiative is led by the Human Rights Directorate and the Parliamentary Secretariat for Reforms and Equality, as part of the United Nations’ global effort to mark World Day Against Trafficking in Persons on 30 July.
The Blue Heart is a symbol of the sadness felt by victims and the cruelty of those who profit from trafficking. This year’s campaign theme, “Human Trafficking is Organised Crime – End the Exploitation”, focuses on the role of law enforcement in breaking down trafficking networks while putting victims first.
Jeremy Vassallo, CSR Manager at APS Bank, said: “Supporting the Blue Heart Campaign is one way we can shine a light on the global fight against human trafficking. Lighting our building is a small gesture with a powerful message: we stand in solidarity with victims, survivors, and those working tirelessly to end this crime.”
