APS Bank has released the 35th edition of its APS talks series, titled ‘Keep growing: The case for lifelong education’. In this session, Dr Maria Brown explores how lifelong education plays a vital role in personal and professional growth.

Dr Brown highlights the wide-ranging benefits of continuous learning, including better career prospects, improved self-care, and stronger personal and community resilience. Drawing on her research, she also addresses the motivations and challenges faced by adult learners and suggests practical ways to support inclusive and meaningful education.

This year, APS talks introduced a new format. Instead of an online presentation, the talk was recorded at the Bank’s St Paul’s Bay Branch. Hosted by Dorianne Mamo, the session features a more conversational style, making it easier to engage with the topic.

APS talks are part of the Bank’s ongoing commitment to lifelong learning, a core pillar of its Corporate Social Responsibility Programme. The series provides experts with a platform to share knowledge and raise awareness on important social topics.

Jeremy Vassallo, CSR Manager at APS Bank, said: “Lifelong learning helps people adapt, grow and stay connected. Through APS talks, we aim to make expert knowledge more accessible and relevant to everyday life.”

The session is available on APS Bank’s Spotify and YouTube channels.
