APS Bank has supported the publication of the second edition of Foodwise Zero Waste Cooking Adventures, an educational book developed by NWAMI International Malta to promote sustainable food habits among children and families. The Bank’s support enabled the development of the publication into a more interactive learning resource aimed at children aged 6 to 14.
Following the success of its first edition, which received international recognition at the 2025 Gourmand World Cookbook Awards, the updated publication introduces new interactive elements including audio content, quizzes and hands-on activities. A newly added economics section helps children better understand the value of food, resources and responsible consumption, while content drawn from different cultures promotes environmental awareness and respect for diversity.
This initiative forms part of APS Bank’s ongoing commitment to support education, sustainability and responsible decision-making within the community.
“We are proud to support a project that educates children in a creative and engaging way,” said Jeremy Vassallo, CSR Manager at APS Bank. “Education and sustainability are two of our core Corporate Social Responsibility pillars, and Foodwise Zero Waste Cooking Adventures brings these values to life by encouraging responsible consumption, cultural awareness, and positive habits from an early age.”
