APS Bank and Richmond Foundation held the second session in their mental health webinar series on Friday 20 June 2025. The online event, Thriving at Every Age: Mental Health Matters, was aimed at members of the APS Occupational Pension Scheme and focused on mental wellbeing across all stages of work life.
The session explored how businesses and organisations can support employees’ mental health, with particular attention to the experiences of older workers. It also looked at generational perspectives on mental health and how these influence workplace culture.
Participants were offered practical tips on recognising signs of stress, building resilience, and promoting a more inclusive and supportive work environment.
Mark Lamb, Corporate Schemes Manager at APS Bank, said: “We believe in supporting people throughout their working lives. These sessions offer simple, practical ways for everyone to better understand mental health and create healthier workplaces so they may then enjoy a long and happy retirement.”
These mental health awareness webinars are part of a wider set of benefits available to all members of the APS Occupational Pension Scheme – a second pillar retirement arrangement open to both APS and non-APS employees. Companies that adopt the scheme for their workforce gain access to valuable initiatives that support employee wellbeing, such as this series of expert-led sessions.
