Three athletes from APS Bank formed part of the Malta Employees Sport Association (MESA) contingent, representing Malta at this year’s edition of the European Company Sport Games held in Salzburg Austria. The event was held between the 26th and 30th of June and saw participation of over 7000 athletes from 22 countries.

The first medal for the Maltese team went to Aaron Mifsud, Head of Retail at APS Bank, who won the bronze medal in the 5,000 metre track event in his age category. Aaron also received silver for both the 1,500 metre event and the 5 km Salzburg City Run, always in his age category. Darran Agius, Private Clients Relationship Manager, placed 5th in his age category for the 5,000 metre track event. Charles Galea, Premises and Programme Manager, just missed bronze when placing 4th in Ten-Pin bowling.

Ray Bonnici, Head of Human Capital at APS Bank commented that, “We are very happy to see our colleagues achieve such results at this European sports festival. Thanks especially to our energetic Sports Committee, we have a busy calendar of sports events throughout the year which encourages physical activity, socialising and, above all, to have fun.”
