New call issued for the Youth Specialisation Studies Scheme

APS is once again launching its Youth Specialisation Studies Scheme (YSSS), thanks to its collaboration with Agenzija Zghazagh. This scheme offers loans at a subsidised interest rate to prospective students aged between 18 to 30 years of age who wish to pursue their studies for courses abroad.

As in previous years, all students are invited to apply for the scheme, however preference will be given to the following areas; Aerospace, Youth Work, Health & Biotechnology, Sport, Nature Conservation, Veterinary Studies, the Arts, Marine Studies and Specialised Restoration. Emerging Technologies is a new area which is also being given preference, covering studies in Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence and similar areas of studies.

Students who want to benefit from this Scheme may apply for a loan between €10,000 and €30,000 which is repayable over a maximum period of 10 years. The YSSS carries a number of additional features such as a maximum capital repayment holiday of five years (depending on the duration of the course being pursued) as well as free travel insurance and purchase protection, together with an International VISA debit card.

Applications for the YSSS are to be submitted by not later than noon of June 14, 2019. For further details on this scheme, please visit
