At the Europe-wide 2017 Champions Bank Football League held recently in Slovenia, the APS Bank squad made it to the quarter finals stage, finishing in the top 8 out of 48 participating teams.

After winning against Europ Assistance, Eurizon, Zurich, Banca Fideuram and Intesa San Paolo Lombardia, APS was eliminated after succumbing to a 1-0 defeat against OTP Bank from Hungary. The Champions Bank is a high-calibre football tournament that brings together banking, insurance and financial services professionals from across Europe. This year's participation was the fourth for the APS Bank team.

The Bank is very proud of this result, which follows another two recent achievements. Earlier this year, the APS Football Team won the Malta Employees Sports Association 3rd Division League and was the runner up of the annual KPMG Banca Cup.
