APS Bank supports Organ Donation and Beating Hearts Malta

APS Bank is proud to be supporting the Healthcare Standards Directorate in strengthening its pool of organ donors.

Each donor has the potential save up to eight lives, alleviating the long list of patients waiting to receive an organ.

The Bank has recently held a social media campaign, inviting locals to register their wish and become organ donors. The message was conveyed to the Maltese public via three short videos featuring local celebrities who have already joined the National Human Organ and Tissues Donation Register.

All Maltese people of 16 years of age and over are being encouraged to register by visiting the Organ Donation website.

On a related note, APS Bank staff collected €1,308 during their May Dress Down Day in aid of non-profit foundation Beating Hearts Malta. This donation contributed to the purchasing of a cardiopulmonary exercise testing machine (CPET), which will help patients suspected of suffering from a respiratory disease be diagnosed.
