Banking and financial qualifications recognised at awards ceremony


A number of APS Bank employees have successfully completed their education programmes offered by the Institute of Financial Services.

Certificates were presented by Central Bank of Malta Deputy Governor Alexander Demarco at a graduation ceremony recently held at The Xara Lodge in Rabat.

The group of fresh graduates, some of whom are pictured above, consists of:
• Charlton Aquilina - Professional Diploma in Banking Practice & Management
• Jessica Gravina Zammit - Advanced Certificate in Funds
• Alison Psaila - Maltese Financial Regulations Module
• Shelaine Cassar - Diploma for Financial Advisers
• Therese Camilleri Vidal - Foundation Degree in Banking Practice & Management
• Maria Victoria Farrugia - Professional Bankers Diploma

Shelaine Cassar also received the John Earland Prize for being the top student within her respective cohort. The annual award is named after a former Governor of the Central Bank of Malta.

"The Bank is extremely proud of these employees who continue to develop their skills and knowledge academically. Such results are testament to a culture of self-enrichment the Bank helps cultivate among its workforce", said Ray Bonnici, APS Bank's Head of Human Capital.

Student Jonathan Grech was awarded a cash prize sponsored by APS Bank for being the top student in the IFS Diploma in Fund Administration course awarded by the University of Manchester.
