Held between the 24th and the 25th of September, the two-day tournament was open to players from banks, insurance and financial services companies across Europe. There were 60 participating teams in all, making this the biggest edition in the three consecutive years this event has been taking place. The winner of this year's edition was Croatian team, Croatia Osiguranje.
Commenting on the Bank's participation in this unique international corporate sports event, APS Bank Team Captain Aaron Mifsud said that "This was our third consecutive participation in this League. APS Bank's performance in this tournament is considered satisfactory, especially considering the quality and strength of the opponents. We were eliminated at group stage, conceding just two goals in three matches against large institutions like Intesa San Paolo, Monte dei Paschi di Siena and Banca Mediolanum. Moreover, it definitely was an excellent team building experience for the squad of 16 APS Bank staff members, all of whom showed commitment during the four months of intensive preparation in the build-up for this event."
