Gender Pay Gap

Gender Pay Gap

APS Bank is organising a series of talks titled ‘APS talks’. This is the fifth talk of this series titled Gender Pay Gap, which will be presented by Dr Anna Borg on 30th May 2019 at The Hub - PwC, 78 Mill Street, Qormi.

The Gender Pay Gap is on the rise and currently stands at the national average of 11%. Discussing the Gender Pay Gap can stir a lot of debate and controversy.  Some argue that the Gender Pay Gap is a complete myth brought by women’s different work-life choices to men, whilst others claim that the gap is a reflection of women’s unequal position in society.  What are the hard facts about the Gender Pay Gap in Malta?  Does it help if you are better educated? And does it affect some sectors more than others?  Finally, what can be done to close the Gender Pay Gap at the personal, family, organisational and at the political level?

These and other questions will be discussed during the talk by Dr Anna Borg.
