Brexit: How will it affect Malta?

APS Bank is organising a series of talks titled ‘APS talks’. This is the third talk of this series titled ‘ Brexit: How will it affect Malta?’, which will be presented by Mr Josef Portelli, CFA on 22nd February 2019 at The Hub - PwC, 78 Mill Street, Qormi.

The UK is scheduled to leave the European Union on 29th March 2019 with the future relationship that the UK is set to have with the EU still to be determined. What are the most likely outcomes and what is the likely impact that the new trade arrangements will have on the economies of the UK and the EU? How is the UK likely to respond to the challenges and opportunities arising by being outside the EU? Besides being an ally and a friend, the UK is also one of Malta’s largest trading partners. How is Brexit going to impact Malta and its economy? What are the key risks and opportunities?
