22/12/2009 - First account holders of the Teen Plus and First Coin Accounts

Ms Brielle Balzan of Qormi and Ms Rachel Borg from Mosta were each presented with a gift for being the first account holders of the First Coin and Teen Plus Accounts respectively.

Both accounts were launched this year and cover the early and teenage life phases.  The First Coin Account is aimed at children who have not yet reached their 13th birthday, while the Teen Plus Account caters for teenagers, up to the age of 18.

A Bank’s marketing officer stated that “apart from offering various benefits, the First Coin and Teen Plus Accounts are primarily aimed at instilling the habit of saving and an appreciation of the value of money at a young age.”
